| Hello Hello.
So, yesterday was pretty much amazing! Kellee Nicki and I went out to McDonalds at about 9:30 for breakfast and then went dress shopping we went out to Crossroads and went into Younkers, Dillards, and JCPennys. At Younkers Kellee decided that I needed a RED dress but not the specific one I was trying on. I held it at the desk just in case and we went to Dillards. Dillards had loooots of pretty dresses now would be a good time to tell you that I wasn't looking for a prom dress, not shiny, not poofy, not long.... just more of a party/cocktail dress with one of those two layer thingys where the top one is sheer and a few sparkles cascading. So I was looking for those ones, not prommy ones. tried on a few more, didn't really find anything of interest, except this one Kellee and I both tried on *it's wonderful when you have two friends the same dress size as you* it was light blue and reeeeeeeeeally sparkly! so sparkly that when i put it on a shower of sparkles came down and then my dressing room floor was covered. I'm not sure how Kellee took hers off but she managed to get it all over her face . Nicki found this GORGEOUS pink one!!! OOOO its so perdy. It was $150 though so we're all a bit nervous on whether she'll get it or not cuz her parentals are a little cheap. But we made sure to emphasize how cute it was . Then off to JCPennys. They didn't have much of the dresses I wanted so I didn't try anything on, just went back in the dressing rooms with Nicki and Kellee. We found a cheaper one like Nicki's other pink one but it wasn't exactly the same and just didn't do it. So, I see this dress in Kellee's dressing room, it's silky, poofy, long, and a pretty light blue color.... so I thought hey, I'll atleast try SOMETHING on in this store.. so I tried it on and fell in love with it!! They loved it too! The light blue color was a little too much for my skin, I would have needed to go tanning like 3-4 times just to *un-pasteify* myself . Soooo... if you didn't notice, that's the exact opposite of what I intended to get in the first place. So as you can imagine, Kellee had fun pointing that out . She still said I had to get a red dress, and I do agree the red looked much better against my skin than the light blue one. I remembered seeing a red one perdy much exactly like it, except for the fact that the red one wasn't gathered to the side in the front, so I ran back out and tried to grab a red one.. but they didn't have my size... they had a 9/10, 11/12, and a 21/22.... no 5/6 ... but nicki came out and said hey... That looks almost identical to my dress last year... it was the exact same dress... SO we went to a place on 3rd street in waterloo so Kellee could see if they still had the dress she wanted.. they didn't but she's gona go shopping in Dubuque at solo/ensemble so that will proved a few more options. Then back to Nicki's so I could try her dress... I put it on and started jumping up and down! IT WAS SO PRETTY!!!! SO. I got the dress I wanted, Mommy doesn't have to pay any money, and I got girl time
*sigh* that was long
otay. then I showed curt my dress... and we went to go play tennis... Didn't stay long though, he wasn't in much of a tennis mood. We went to Hob Lob to get Wool yarn so I can felt him an iPod cover... *I knit it big, throw it in the washer so it shrinks a ton, and it looks like personalized fabric* then went to Mcdonalds to get icecream type treats... back to my house and exchanged backrubs.. mmm then nap time. it was happy.
He left around 6 cuz I had to babysit from 8-12.. yes babysitting from 8-12 in which I fell asleep at about 10:30... the little girl was asleep so it was okay.. and the baby monitor was like 6 feet away from me. so I'm tired. I like frosted flakes though
much loves! |
